Dental Appointment Policy

The Pit River Health Service Dental Clinic is here to serve the needs of the community and in order to give quality care to each patient we ask that our patients please arrive 15 minutes early to their appointment to update information or fill out any necessary paper-work. If the patient is 15 minutes late, the appointment will have to be rescheduled and will count as a failed appointment. When appointments are cancelled without at least 4 hours advance notice or the patient does not show up for scheduled appointments, the appointment will have to be rescheduled and will be counted as a fail as well. By not providing us with sufficient time we are unable to offer scheduled appointments to other patients who are in need of our services.

Each patient will sign our Appointment and Failed Appointment Policy. After the first failed appointment within a six month period, the patient will receive a copy of the signed agreement and will be given the opportunity to call and reschedule their appointment. If the patient does not follow policy and receives a second fail within a six month period, the patient will be placed on a “No Show Register List” and will not be able to schedule an appointment for three months starting from the date of the last failed appointment. Patients may walk in to receive emergency treatment for pain, swelling, or extractions where restorative treatment is not possible. The patient will then be notified when the three months are over and can resume scheduling regular appointments.

Please join us in maximizing our services to the community by providing at least 4 hours notice of a cancelled appointment. Please contact our Dental receptionist to cancel, reschedule, or if you have any questions regarding our policy at (530) 335-3651 ext. 118.
